Do Drivers Learn Their Work Habits Early?

Back in high school, students who cut class often enjoyed a few hours or a day of freedom, at the expense of their schoolwork. With no way to track their whereabouts, teachers could do little to punish these kids besides assigning unexcused absences. As we know, old habits die hard. Kids who got away with skipping class turn into adults who get away with skipping work.

Do you have any drivers who tend to spend a little too much time out on the job? Or perhaps they clock in with you and then drive to a movie, a girlfriend’s house, or the grocery store. Do you really know where your men are, at all times?

One school in Anaheim, California is trying to stop this cycle early. By assigning GPS tracking devices to any student with a high amount of unexcused absences, the school plans to cut down on truancy. The students are required to carry the device with them at all times and to clock in five times a day. Read more about this unique pilot program. Ideally, this plan aims to keep young students out of trouble and instill integrity in them.
