Driving in Style

Last week, Porsche introduced the Panamera Turbo S. The fuel-efficient model boasts of luxury features and numerous customization options. For example, each backseat (that’s right - the car has four bucket seats) offers a touchscreen display that allows each passenger to watch his own movie, listen to music with wireless headphones, or play video games. The Panamera Turbo S comes in your choice of sixteen exterior finishes, and presents a plethora of advanced features (that you can read about here).

Additionally, the standard model comes equipped with its own vehicle tracking system. The Porsche Communication Management system assists drivers with route planning and allows them to view either a 2D or 3D display on a high-resolution touchscreen. According to Porsche.com, drivers can also opt for an electronic logbook that “enables automatic recording of mileage, route distance, date, time, starting location and destination.” Users can then download computer software that lets them analyze their driving data.

At a base cost of $89,800, the Panamera Turbo S carries a high price tag. For a fraction of the price, however, you can enjoy many of the same features that the Porsche Communication System offers (sans car, of course). FoxTrax GPS tracking devices provide real-time vehicle tracking, accurate mapping, and time and mileage reporting. Although you might not be able to afford a luxury car, you can still benefit from some of its luxury features.
